There are six membership categories: Regular, Associate, Student, Institutional, Lifetime, and International.

 ● REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

To be eligible for regular membership, one must have a B.A. or higher degree in Cognitive Science or a related area, and have at least 4 years of research or teaching experience in a Cognitive Science related program. The annual membership fee is 30,000 won. Regular members can receive a substantial discount to attend conferences, workshops, colloquia and many other events organized by the KSCS. They also receive The KSCS Newsletter via surface- or e-mail, which is a bimonthly publication featuring current issues related to research and teaching of Cognitive Science, reviews of research institutes, and notices of upcoming meetings and conferences, as well as information about a variety of KSCS members' activities. Members further receive The Korean Journal of Cognitive Science, a quarterly publication featuring both practical and theoretical articles and research reports that intersect two or more disciplines.

 ● ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

One who has a B.A. or higher degree in Cognitive Science or a related area, and have more than 2 years but less than 4 years of research or teaching experience in the Cognitive Science related program. The annual membership fee is 30,000 won. All the benefits for Associate Membership are the same as for Regular Membership.

 ● STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

Current students are also eligible for a special student membership. Applicants for student membership must include proof of current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate program, or a letter from a faculty member. Annual dues are 15,000 won. All the benefits for Student Membership are the same as for Regular Membership.

● INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Annual dues are 100,000 won. Eligible institutions include educational or research organizations for non-commercial purposes only. All the benefits for Institutional Membership are for only one representative, whose name is on the application form, and they are the same as for Regular Membership.

● LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP

Lifetime dues are 250,000 won. All the benefits are the same as for Regular Membership.

● INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP

The annual membership fee is $30 for regular members, $15 for students, $100 for institutions, and $250 for lifetime members. Plus there are shipping and handling charges for mailings sent outside Korea. The price is subject to change without notice depending on the exchange rates. All the benefits are the same as for Regular Membership.
